When the Sex Pistols thrashed their way into the hearts and homes of London's youth it was evident that the world wasn't ready. Hailed as one of the greatest punk bands of all time, they are credited with helping progress the first punk movement across the UK. It is known that the instruments they used were sometimes stolen, and after shows they would rush the stage and steal as much equipment as they could carry. Over the years they created havoc at almost every show they played pushing against what was considered traditional music and behavior as much as possible. In true punk fashion, they decided to give one more f#ck you to the world. In Feb 2006, the 4 remaining members, and Sid Vicious were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but refused to attend the ceremony, calling the museum "a piss stain". We wanted to pay tribute to one of the most influential bands to ever do it, and also embrace the early NY street culture at the time. 42nd Street had the sex and everywhere else had the guns. If that isn't old NY, then I don't know what is. After all, who doesn't like Sex & Pistols?
